Scoring
GM score (career mode)
Each draft year a GM completes is a season (one career draft per GM per year, drafting for their tied team). A season is graded once the draft is complete and ≥ 1 full round of actual results exists. Career GM score = Σ season totals over graded seasons. Leaderboards: individual (per league or all), and by team (sum of members).
Season GM score = Accuracy + Top5 + MyGuy + Value + Trades + Development
| Component | How it's computed | Range |
|---|---|---|
| Accuracy | Mock-accuracy formula below, summed over the picks you made for your team (CPU auto-picks excluded). | 0 … 10 × your picks |
| Top5 | Predict who goes #1–#5 (editable until any real result is entered). Per slot: player actually drafted in the top 5 → +4; exact slot → +6 more. | 0 … 50 |
| MyGuy | Star up to 3 of your own Day 2/3 picks (round 2+; Day 2 = rds 2–3, Day 3 = rds 4–7). Per guy: drafted on the same Day as you took him → +5; also the same round → +3; also by the same team → +4. (Locked once results are entered.) | 0 … 36 |
| Value (steals vs consensus) | For each of your picks at slot s for a prospect with consensus rank r: clip((s − r) × 0.25, -3.0, +5.0). Landing a player after his rank = steal (+); reaching above his rank = reach (−). Season sum clipped to -20 … +30. Not result-dependent. | -20 … +30 |
| Trades | Per trade: clip((value of picks received − value of picks given) / 50, -8, +8) using the pick-value chart below; season sum clipped to ±15. Fair trades ≈ 0; overpaying costs points. | ±15 |
| Development manual / placeholder | A rating entered by an admin on the Admin page after the players have played (default 0). Placeholder: no automatic player-performance data is wired in yet. | -20 … +20 |
Until graded, a season shows a provisional score (Value + Trades + Dev) and does not count toward the career total or leaderboards.
Mock-accuracy formula (per pick)
For each pick the human chose (predicted slot s, team T, player X), find where X actually went (slot a, team A) among the scored rounds:
| Situation | Points |
|---|---|
Right player, right slot (a = s) | 10 |
| Right player drafted by the right team at a different slot | 6 |
| Right player in the correct round, wrong team | 3 |
| Right player drafted anywhere in the scored rounds | 1 |
| Not drafted in the scored rounds | 0 |
| Bonus: actual slot within 3 of predicted (and not exact) | +2 |
Draft score = sum; max = 10 × human picks scored; shown also as % of max. Scored rounds = min(draft rounds, fully entered rounds of actual results). With trades, the “team” for a traded pick is whoever owned it when it was used.
Trade rules & pick-value chart
In trade-enabled single-team drafts the CPU pauses at every pick (use “Sim to my next pick”). You may swap any of your unused picks for unused picks of one CPU team. The CPU accepts if the value it receives ≥ the value it gives, with a 3% tolerance in your favour. Value chart = an approximation of the Jimmy Johnson chart (published anchors, log‑interpolated; later rounds approximate):
